The Advisor Centre
Peter began his career at Holden Meehan, an independent wealth manager, in 1989. He joined Forsyth Partners in 1994 as a senior mutual fund analyst and was appointed Chief Investment Officer in 2000. He was responsible for the management of traditional and alternative multi asset funds, with assets at their peak in excess of £1.5 billion. He was co-founder of the original Forsyth-OBSR Ratings Service in 2002. He joined OBSR in 2008 and was responsible for establishing the firm’s fund advisory business as well as continuing to conduct manager research. As Investment Director, he worked closely with Head of Investment Consultancy, Gill Hutchison, and they were responsible for the delivery of services to an array of different clients and were important influencers of fund flows in the UK. The Adviser Centre was launched in May 2014 whilst Peter was employed by City Financial. He transferred to Embark in October 2016, following the group’s acquisition of The Adviser Centre.
First State Investments
Andrew Harman, CFA, joined First State Investments in 2008. He became a Portfolio Manager within the Multi-Asset Solutions team in 2010. In 2015 Andrew launched the flagship Diversified Growth Fund for the UK market which has had strong performance since inception. His responsibilities include research, market analysis and construction of proprietary investment models. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Business (Banking and Finance) from Queensland University of Technology and a Graduate Certificate in Mathematics from the University of Technology, Sydney.
Odey Asset Management
Geoffrey has over 23 years’ experience managing multi-asset portfolios. He is Managing Director of Odey Wealth Management (CI) Ltd, of which he was a founder director. He is the fund manager of the Odey Opportunity Fund, which he has managed since May 2008. Previously he was Director and Head of Portfolio Management (since 1995) of Credit Suisse (Guernsey) Ltd, where he was responsible for managing USD 1 bn in private client and institutional multi–asset portfolios. Geoff has an honours degree in Economics from the University of York and holds the IoD Diploma in Company Direction.
Odey Asset Management
Peter joined Odey in 2009. He has 35 years of investment experience and has managed the Odey Portfolio Fund since launch in 2010. Peter was previously CIO of Rothschild Private Bank and Trust (UK) , and before that Deputy Head of Fleming Private Asset Management as the Director in charge of Private Unit Trusts . He originally started his career at Cazenove and Co and graduated from SOAS , University of London in 1983 .
Fund Manager Baillie Gifford Managed Fund
Iain joined Baillie Gifford in 1994 after graduating MA (Hons) in Accountancy from Aberdeen University and qualifying as a Chartered Accountant. After spells in the UK Equity and North American Equity Teams, Iain moved back to the UK Equity team in 1999 where he currently manages our UK Core strategy. Iain is also the co-lead manager on our flagship Managed Fund, where he has been involved for 16 of the Fund’s 30 year history. Iain was made a Partner of the firm in 2005 and became Chief of Investment Staff in 2013.

Goldman Sachs Asset Management
Brendan is a vice president leading the International Portfolio Strategy team of Strategic Advisory Solutions. Brendan helps European, Asian, and African financial institutions serving retail and high-net-worth investors, corporate retirement plans, and other institutional investors develop investment policy and strategy. Brendan joined Goldman Sachs in 2008 as a regional consultant within GSAM’s Third Party Distribution group, focusing on the firm’s wire-house relationships. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, Brendan ran a practice as a financial advisor at Ameriprise Financial. Brendan received his MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and his B.A. in Finance from Hillsdale College in Hillsdale, Michigan.
Legal and General Investment Management
Chris is a fund manager within LGIM’s Multi Asset Funds team with responsibilities in portfolio management and on-going development across the multi-asset product range. Chris joined LGIM in 2015 from HSBC Global Asset Management where he had spent over 6 years, most recently in the multi asset team covering capabilities including risk-targeted multi asset, multi-asset income and global tactical asset allocation. Chris has also worked on the emerging market debt team at HSBC in New York as a product specialist. Chris is a CFA Charterholder and holds the Investment Management Certificate. He graduated from Bristol University in 2008 with honours having studied economics and management.
Tom graduated LLB (Hons) in Law & Economics from the University of Edinburgh in 1999 and is both CFA and ACA qualified. He worked at Fidelity International, Merrill Lynch and Deloitte & Touche before joining Baillie Gifford in 2009. He was an Investment Manager in the UK Equity and Global Opportunities Teams until 2015 when he joined the European Equity Team. Tom has been involved with the Managed Fund Team since September 2017.
