New for 2019: Professional Adviser's Working Lunches

In association with First State Investments & Baillie Gifford
A series of invitation only "meet the manager" lunches to discuss how a multi-asset strategy can benefit your clients and your business

With 2019 shaping up to be a year of continuing uncertainty yet growing volatility, multi-asset strategies are likely to be at the forefront of adviser's minds as a way of meeting their clients' long-term investment needs. With well over 1,000 such strategies available now available in the UK, though, advisers face a challenge picking out the most suitable options.

That is why Professional Adviser has brought together multi-asset experts from two leading fund houses to help bring this burgeoning sector into sharper focus. They will offer a deeper understanding of the different strategies they offer - in particular, the key issue of articulating the expected client journey - as well as discussing their market views.

What you will learn?

First State Investments - Andrew Harman, Portfolio Manager, Diversified Growth Fund:
Fixed allocations to equity and bonds leave investors at the mercy of global market dynamics where the role of luck tends to be underestimated - especially in the short term. In a continually changing political and economic environment where the amount of global debt is at an all-time high, what happens if interest rates and borrowing costs increase? If equities catch a cold, are sovereign bonds going to provide the cough medicine?

Baillie Gifford: Hear from one of three Baillie Gifford managers who will explain the specifics of their fund and their views on the market going forward. You will learn more about the strategies behind one of the following portfolios: BG Managed Fund, BG Multi-Asset Growth Fund and BG Multi-Asset Income Fund.

All of this takes place over a relaxed, three-course, sit-down lunch situated at venues that have been picked to be as handy as possible for their invitation-only audiences, thereby enabling attendees to make the very most of their time. Each lunch offers two and a half hours of structured CPD, accredited by the CISI.

Professional Adviser is read by financial advisers across the UK and so, building on the success of our PA360 and PA360 North conferences and Multi-Asset Roadshows, which have taken place in and around Birmingham, Bristol, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, London and Manchester, it seemed only fitting to arrange a series of events that further widened our reach. We very much hope you will be able to join us at your most convenient venue.

N.B. This event is complimentary to UK Senior Financial Advisers. CF30 registered. Maximum two attendees per company. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
