Mark Polson, Founder and Principal
A platform mid-life crisis
The lang cat takes a long hard look at the advised platform sector, which seems to be staring down the barrel of a mid-life crisis of sorts. Many of the platforms you use are reassessing their propositions and starting to address the question of "What now?".
As the old Chinese curse has it: "May you live in interesting times". And despite the previous few years being really quite interesting for the industry, we now appear to have reached peak interesting. Between Trump, Brexit and more regulatory activity (UK and European) than you could shake an FCA-approved stick at, platforms are stepping back, re-evaluating pretty much everything and deciding where to go from here.
The lang cat has been beavering away reviewing and reassessing the state of the platform nation, and it wants to share some of its #Insight and #ThoughtLeadership with YOU. You lucky people. And if that's not exciting enough, they're paying special attention to MiFID II. You're welcome.
